TATTOO AFTERCARE

1.) Leave bandage on for approximately 1 ½ hours. WASH HANDS! Always wash your hands before touching a healing tattoo. Remove bandage and lightly blot tattoo with a clean paper towel and cool water.

2.) Apply a very thin coat of Hustle Butter ointment (if you can see excess ointment, you're putting too much on) four times a day until the tattoo heals. It's important to keep your tattoo moisturized; this prevents heavy scabbing. *We carry Hustle Butter for $5.00 upon Request.

3.) Take Showers as usual, however, be careful around the area of your tattoo. Take some ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP and GENTLY cleanse your tattoo by hand. DO NOT SCRUB YOUR TATTOO with any abrasive materials (washcloths, loofahs). Avoid shaving in the area of your tattoo until fully healed. Also, avoid prolonged soaking of your tattoo. After bathing remember to apply ointment.

4.) DO NOT pick, scratch or rub your tattoo. It will itch- you can relieve this by lightly patting or scratching around the tattoo.

5.) Keep your fresh tattoo out if the sun. Keep it covered with loose clothing until it heals. Avoid tanning beds-if you must tan, cover the area of your tattoo. After the tattoo fully heals, protect your tattoo from the sun by applying sunblock (SPF 30 or higher).

Your tattoo should heal within 2 weeks; your healing time may be shorter or longer- everyone is different. The better you take care of your tattoo during the healing process, the better your tattoo will ultimately look. Enjoy!

Consult a Physician at the first sign of infection, such as redness, swelling, drainage, prolonged pain or onset of fever.
